Inner East Social Housing Group Limited is a not for profit Company Limited by guarantee, a charity, public benevolent institution and a registered housing provider.
The management of the organisation reports regularly (at least 10 times per year) to a Board of volunteer Directors. In turn, the Board reports to the members of the Company at the annual general meeting (AGM).

The principles purpose of the company is to provide safe and affordable shelter for people experiencing disadvantage by way of low-income, infirmity or age
Solely in furtherance of the Principle Purpose, the activities the company will undertake may include, but are not limited to:

Providing affordable rental housing to persons experiencing disadvantage:

Ensuring that the affordable rental housing is adequate and safe for persons experiencing disadvantage;

Seeking to ensure that any housing provided by the Company as a group will promote a true sense of community;

Advocating for the retention of, and increase in affordable housing for persons experiencing disadvantage; and

All other things incidental or conducive to furthering the Principle Purpose

The Victorian Housing Registrar (Department of Treasury and Finance) regulates IESHG Ltd as a Registered Housing Provider.

Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) regulates IESHG Ltd as a Company Limited by Guarantee.

Australian Charities and Not for profit Commission (ACNC) regulates IESHG Ltd as a Charity and as a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI).

The Australian Tax Office regulates our Deductable Gift Recipient (DGR) status.

Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV) regulates IESHG Ltd as a landlord through the Residential Tenancies Act.
